Getting around in Knowsley

Travelling on foot

  • Merseytravel provides lots of information on walking around Merseyside, including access to online walking maps.
  • Knowsley's Highways Map shows Public Rights of Way - the right to roam, which are accessible to walkers with conditions of passage. Knowsley Highways Information is openly available via online maps.
  • The Trans Pennine Trail is a multi-user route designed with walkers in mind. Most of the Trail is relatively flat, so it provides easy walking and is comprehensively signed.
  • Living Streets is a national walking charity; they can provide information on the benefits and the ways to incorporate walking into a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
