Appeals process

If your bus pass application is refused, you can ask for a review of the decision. This is called an appeal. To appeal, you need to show that there are special reasons why your child should get a bus pass.

You will a receive an email when your bus pass application is refused. A link to appeal the decision will be in this email, this submits your appeal directly to the transport team. The appeal will be acknowledged by email and you will have a decision within 10 days.

When submitting your appeal you will need to explain why you think your child should get a bus pass and send proof to support your claim. This could be a letter from your social worker, doctor, police, school, or housing officer.

You can also write to the council at the address below to ask for a review.
