Students living away from home
Students are entitled to register at their home address and their university address. Although it is an offence to vote more than once in a national election, you can vote in local elections at both addresses.
Overseas Electors
If you are a UK citizen living abroad, you can register to vote for the UK Parliamentary General Elections if you have been registered to vote in the UK in the last 15 years. As part of your application, you will be asked the address where you were last registered to vote, and it will be in that area where your vote will be counted.
