The Mayor of Knowsley

Each year, the elected members of the council choose a mayor for the coming year. The Mayor represents Knowsley at public events and ceremonies as well as civic events in other towns, cities and countries.

Public life

Ken was first elected to Knowsley Council in 1996 and has represented Page Moss Ward (formerly known as Princess Ward) for the last 27 years. 

Since being elected Ken has been appointed to a wide range of committees including to name just a few: 

  • Chairman of North Huyton Area Forum 
  • North Huyton New Deal Future Partnership Board
  • Knowsley Housing Trust Board
  • Polling District Review Working Group 
  • Health and Wellbeing Scrutiny Board
  •  Planning Committee
