Why Do You Need My Information?

We may need to use the information you choose to give to:
Help us ensure we are designing services around the needs of our communities.
Achieve the Knowsley Council Plan vision of “supporting Knowsley’s people and communities to thrive”, and the three priorities of:

  • Support those most in need
  • Inclusive skills and growth
  • Climate emergency – achieving net zero

Knowsley Council will collect and analyse the survey findings to understand the thoughts and aspirations of individuals and communities in Prescot regarding Prescot Town Centre, and more specifically Prescot Shopping Centre, to inform future development within the town.

The anonymous data from this survey may also be used to support headline pieces within local publications such as Knowsley News and Prescot Newsletters.

Questions in the survey are not mandatory, you may choose to complete all, part or some of the survey. Submitted survey responses are anonymous.

What Allows You To Use My Information?

Your participation in the survey or focus group is entirely optional, by participating you are agreeing to the information provided being used to help shape the future of the regeneration project.

Who Will My Information Be Shared With?

Aggregated and anonymous data gathered from this survey will be used by Knowsley Council and may be shared with third party consultants such as architects and town Planners, or development partners, as part of any implementation work to improve the town centre.

Do I Have To Provide This Information And What Will Happen If I Don’t?

No, participation is entirely voluntary and not a legal requirement. You can decide whether to complete the survey or not; and you can decide how much or how little you wish to complete.

How Long Will You Keep This Data For And Why?

The anonymous data gathered from the surveys will be held by Knowsley Council for a period of up to 7-years following the end of the engagement and consultation period. Any paper surveys will be securely destroyed within 6-months of the closure of the survey.

How Will My Information Be Stored?

All paper surveys received will be stored securely by Knowsley Council and will be securely destroyed by Knowsley Council once the retention period is met.  Anonymised electronic survey data held by Knowsley Council will be stored on a secure electronic system.

  • The right to prevent automated decision making – you have the right to ask the council to stop using your data to make automated decisions about you or to stop profiling your behaviour (where applicable)
