This privacy notice sets out how Knowsley Council will use data collected from respondents signing up to receive the Knowsley News Bulletin email newsletter.

Subscribing to receive the Knowsley News Bulletin is a voluntary act on your part, and will allow us to send you an email newsletter which contains a summary of the recent news from the council. 

You can decide whether or not to subscribe to the email newsletter; and you can unsubscribe at any time. 

Who will own my data once I submit it?

Why do you need my information?

We require your email address in order to send you the email newsletter. 

Analytical information, which lets us know whether our emails were opened, and interaction with the content (for example, links clicked) help us improve the quality of our content.

What allows you to use my information?

By subscribing to our email newsletter, you give us permission to use your email address in order to send the email to you, and understand how you interact with the content. You can unsubscribe at any time. 

Who will my information be shared with?

Aggregated and anonymous data will be used within the council.

Your data will be managed by Campaignmaster.co.uk, who are contracted as a data processor to provide the mailing service to the council. 

Do I have to provide this information and what will happen if I don’t?

No, participation is entirely voluntary and not a legal requirement.  You can decide if you wish to subscribe, and you can unsubscribe at any time. 

How long will you keep this data for and why?

The data will be held by Knowsley Council until you unsubscribe. You will be reminded of your right to opt out if you no longer wish to receive the information each time we contact you. 

How will my information be stored?

We use Campaignmaster.co.uk to store your email address, and to send the emails to you. You can find details of how they store the data here.

Will this information be used to take automated decisions about me?

No

Will my data be transferred abroad?

No.
