16+ opportunities

Once a young person reaches 16, there are lots of options to consider as they take the next step forward. Everyone’s abilities, interest and ambitions will be different but there are a vast array of opportunities for Knowsley’s young people.

During Years 10 and 11, schools will be engaging with pupils about their options and what their next steps might be. Parents and carers are encouraged to talk to their children about this and speak to their child’s school if they have any questions or queries.

The Council has also invested in Unifrog – an online impartial platform that helps students search courses and consider their next steps after school. Unifrog helps students to compare every course and apprenticeship, and then apply successfully. Please speak to your school to access Unifrog.
