An online public consultation was undertaken via the Knowsley Council website for the required six-week period (from 19 December 2022 to 31 January 2023). No comments or objections were received regarding the proposed arrangements.

The final admission arrangements have been determined and can be viewed here.

Admission schemes

Parents have the right to object to any determined admission arrangements if they believe that they are not lawful or do not comply with the mandatory elements of the national School Admissions Code. Objections must be submitted to the Schools Adjudicator by 15 May 2023.

Please note that following the determination of admission arrangements, the governing bodies of Westvale Community Primary School in Kirkby and Kirkby Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School have confirmed increases in their planned admission numbers for 2024/25 entry to 45 and 40 pupils respectively. These are variations to the determined arrangements originally published.

Academies and Voluntary Aided Schools are also required to determine their own admission arrangements on an annual basis. The determined admission policies and admission numbers for Voluntary Aided Schools/Academies in Knowsley and any Academies that are not adopting the Local Authority admission policy can be found on the Knowsley Council website or on the individual school website.
