The Local Authority consulted with schools, neighbouring local authorities, church authorities and parents/members of the public before determining admission arrangements for 2025/26. An on-line public consultation was undertaken via this website for the required six-week period (from 14 December 2023 to 26 January 2024).
- 2025/26 Determined admission arrangements for primary community schools and primary and secondary academies adopting the local authority arrangements
- 2025/26 Determined admission arrangements for nursery classes of community primary schools and primary academies adopting the local authority arrangements
The Local Authority also formulates the co-ordinated primary and secondary admission schemes which confirm the procedures for applying for places and the allocation process for entry to school in the 2025/26 school year. The schemes apply to all schools/academies in the Local Authority area.
Academies and Voluntary Aided Schools (Catholic and Church of England) also determine their admission arrangements on an annual basis.
The determined admission policies and admission numbers for Voluntary Aided Schools/Faith Academies in Knowsley, and any Academies that are not adopting the Local Authority admission policy, can be accessed from the links below and can also be viewed on the individual school website.
