The Knowsley EAL Service is here to support you with the teaching of your EAL students. We offer a range of services, including:

  • Formal assessment using the NASSEA Framework to track students' progress over three terms.
  • 1:1 and small group support, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Whole-school or individual training on EAL pedagogy and alongside this, they provide strategies, help and advice.
  • Resources for teachers and parents on the EAL website.
  • Weekly contributions to the school circular with links and resources to help teachers incorporate cultural. celebrations and events into the curriculum.

Our sole aim is to make the learning experience inclusive for all students and to give all learners the opportunity to develop and make progress.
