Using email safely
Most organisations ask you for your email address when purchasing goods or services, but protecting your email is important as this is where most of your personal information is stored.
- Do not open an attachment unless you expect it, AND know who it is from.
- If you receive an attachment from someone you don't know, delete it immediately without opening it.
- Make sure you never send you to send your bank details to anyone in an email. This isn’t a secure way to send financial details; online shops and banks would not ask you to do this.
