New applicants
To apply for a street trading consent, you must submit a deposit of 10% of the total yearly fee and a Basic Disclosure certificate that is no more than 30 days old.
Street trading assistants must also submit a Basic Disclosure certificate.
The Basic Disclosure certificate is a criminal record check that shows any unspent convictions, cautions, warnings, or reprimands. You can get a Basic Disclosure certificate online or by post.
Once you have submitted all of the required documentation, the council will process your application. If your application is successful, you will be granted a street trading consent.
Here are some additional tips for applying for a street trading licence:
- Make sure you read the council's street trading policy carefully before you apply. This will help you understand the requirements and what you need to submit.
- Be sure to complete the application form accurately and in full.
- If you have any questions or need help with the application process, contact the council's licensing team by calling 0151 443 2300 or emailing licensing@knowsley.gov.uk.
