We aim to please all our guests that come through the doors.  We use award winning product houses Elemis and Natural spa factory to perform signature treatments.  We are a Spa that not only has amazing treatments but we have 8 amazing treatment rooms one being a couples rooms, within the spa experience , We have Thermal suite with a double chamber Rasul, with a rainforest shower, hot beds, a salt infused Steam room, Traditional Sauna and steam room followed by the Ice room. We have an amazing peaceful and tranquil relaxation room for you to drift into your own world. This spa Is truly a hidden paradise.  

The spa team are an amazing team to be a part of and willing to support any new starter and staff within the career with great opportunity from team members that started as weekend staff or on placemen to now in full time roles and senior positions within the spa area.
While you are on your apprenticeship you will have goals and target in place to get you to where you need to be as a therapist. We will Train you in house and also with our product houses to be able to do all treatments and retail to all our client base. You will learn the House keep aspect of the spa including the pool side. Reception duties, Spa host and assistant as well as a therapist role so you fully understand how a spa is run from behind the seen and front of house aspects."

Key responsibilities for the role:

  • Must be able to complete an apprenticeship framework in required time.  
  • Be able to listen and take instruction well for a fast paces spa.
  • Be able to learn fast and retain information.
  • You will start by supporting the spa host team and work your way through the spa on all areas until able to complete treatments.
  • Looking after the Guests within the spa and around the hotel
  • Staying upto date on college and spa work set for you and complete in a timely manner of the work being set
  • Being able to talk about and sell retail from completion of training
  • Upselling treatments and guest welfare.
  • Complete Apprenticeship standard

Key skills to be successful in your application:

  • Pride yourself in customer service and be a team player
  • Want and willing to learn and invest into being a spa team member
  • Have a positive attitude towards retail and upselling in the spa environment
  • Flexible on hours to be able to do early shifts and late shifts along with weekend work.
  • Level 2 already achieved is preferable.

Location: Suites Hotel & Spa Knowsley                              
Contracted hours: 32 hours spa based/ 8 hours college 5 days over 7
Hourly rate of pay: National Minimum Wage

  • Before you start filling in your form, always check the instructions for filling in the application form.
  • Make sure you take your time. Don’t rush as you may make mistakes!
  • Prepare a draft of the application form before transferring the information to the actual form. If you’re filling it in by hand, make sure you don’t make mistakes on the original form for the employer.
  • Make sure any writing is neat and easy to read, and check your spelling.
  • Answer all questions and fill in all the boxes/spaces.
  • If there are gaps in your employment history, say what you were doing during that time. If you've have never had a job, you could include examples such as voluntary work, or involvement with outside clubs or organisations.
  • Make sure you sell your skills; this could also include things you have developed outside work such as interests and hobbies. This is an opportunity for you to promote yourself to the employer and is your opportunity to explain to the employer why they should employ you!
