There are currently several funding opportunities open to residents and businesses who wish to install EV Charging Points and infrastructure. The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) provides support for the purchase of plug-in vehicles, as well as funding for the installation of electric vehicle charge points.
Plug-in Car Grant (PICG)
Dealers will include the grant in the price of a new, low-emissions vehicle. Not all vehicles are eligible.

Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS)
This grant contributes to the cost of charging point installation for flat owners or those living in rented accommodation.
The EV chargepoint grant contributes 75% to the cost of one chargepoint and is capped at £350 (including VAT) per installation. The vehicle, chargepoint and installer must be on an approved list.
Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)
A voucher-based scheme for businesses to support electric car charger installation. It can cover up to 75% of the cost, capped at£350 for each socket, for up to 40 sockets.
