Who will own my data once I submit it?
Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council, operating under the name of Knowsley Health and Wellbeing Board.
Knowsley Health and Wellbeing Board aims to improve the health and wellbeing of everybody that lives, works or is registered with a GP in the borough of Knowsley in Merseyside.
We employ a way of working to improve health and wellbeing, strong leadership, empowering people, service improvement and a focus on prevention and protection.
Why do you need my information?
We may need and collect your information for the following:
- Inviting your opinion on the content of our website and where we can improve our overall website experience.
- Inviting your opinions on news.
- Inviting your opinions with regard to consultations to produce strategies such as the Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy or to produce priorities such as the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment.
We then discuss the findings, but ensure that they are non-personally-identifying with stakeholders to identify what success should look like, what we need to do to make it happen and what the results are looking like.
What allows you to use my information?
We collect the information from you with your consent.
Who will my information be shared with?
We may need to share the information with other public health and social care professionals at Knowsley Council and the NHS from time to time (specifically the 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Mersey Care NHS Trust, Royal Liverpool and Broad green University Hospitals NHS Trust, St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust).
We also work with partners from designated housing associations and the Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner’s Office.
On our website, it will be clearly signposted where we need to ask your consent to share any information with our partners.
Any information that we do discuss and share with our partners only has non-personally-identifying information.
Do I have to provide this information and what happens if I don’t?
Knowsley Health and Wellbeing Board collect this information for purposes of understanding and improving service users’ interactions. To a certain extent, our services and functions’ improvements depend on being able to receive, analyse and monitor your feedback on our services.

How long will you keep this data for and why?
12 months, as per the council’s organisation-wide policy. After 12 months, your data will be destroyed.
How will my information be stored?
If a user visits our website, then a Google Analytics cookie is placed on their device. Please read more about Google Analytics Cookie Usage on Websites. This cookie gives us non-personally-identifying information such as language, country, city, browser, operating system, service provider, mobile operating system, mobile service provider and mobile screen resolution. Google Analytics also tells us how you found our website (e.g. through a search engine, referred from another website or social media) It also gives us important metrics about how specific content is performing. We do not use contact forms anywhere on this website – you can contact us either by post, phone or e-mail.
If the user writes to Knowsley Health and Wellbeing Board either via e-mail or post, then their communication will be stored and subsequently destroyed as per the council’s privacy policy regarding e-mails and letters.
If the user telephones the Knowsley Health and Wellbeing Board, no phone calls are recorded and any documentation referring to these phone calls will be stored and subsequently destroyed as per the council’s privacy policy regarding phone calls.
