This privacy notice sets out how Knowsley Council will use data collected from respondents completing all Air Quality consultations.

Completing the survey is a voluntary act on your part to help us to achieve our objectives relating to the Air Quality Consultation and meet our obligations under the Equality Act 2010.

You can decide whether or not to complete the survey; and you can decide how much or how little you wish to complete.

Why do you need my information?

We may need to use some information about you to:

  • To meet our requirements under The Equality Act 2010 which states that public authorities have a specific legal duty to publish information about how people are affected by policies and practices. This survey data will be used to identify whether services, functions and policies are promoting equality of opportunity and good community relations and eliminating unlawful discrimination in line with the Public Sector Equality Duties under the Equality Act 2010. It also helps us ensure we are designing services around the needs of our communities.
  • Achieve our objectives relating to the development of Knowsley's Air Quality Strategy. All information returned will be in anonymous format.
    Knowsley Council will collect data and analyse the survey findings to help form a robust set of priorities to deliver against in improving air quality.

What allows you to use my information?

Your participation in completing the consultation is entirely optional.

Who will my information be shared with?

Aggregated and anonymous data will be used within the council.

The Council will not share data with any other third party.

Do I have to provide this information and what will happen if I don’t?

No, participation is entirely voluntary and not a legal requirement.  You can decide whether or not to complete the consultation; and you can decide how much or how little you wish to complete.

How long will you keep this data for and why?

The anonymous data will be held by Knowsley Council for a period up to 5 years following the consultation. 

How will my information be stored?

Anonymised electronic survey data held by Knowsley Council will be stored on a secure electronic system.

Will this information be used to take automated decisions about me?

No

Will my data be transferred abroad?

Data will not be transferred abroad.
