Look after your neighbourhood
We all want the place where we live or work to be safe, clean and welcoming. The council has a regular cleaning regime across the borough, in parks, green spaces, town centres, grass verges etc. but we all have a part to play in keeping Knowsley safe and clean.
- Use the litter bins provided – if you see litter, pick it up and place it in the nearest bin
- Ensure you clean up after your dog
- Consider carrying out your own litter pick in your street / local park or just take a bag out with you when walking and pick up any litter that you see
- Use the recycling and waste centres – don’t be tempted to fly tip! Further information about the waste recycling centres can be Further information about recycling and waste centres can be found here.
- If you have large items to dispose of, the Council has a bulky waste service.
- You can report litter, fly tipping and damaged or overflowing litter bins on the Council’s website.
- Remember if you see anyone suspicious or have concerns about crime or anti-social behaviour, report it to Merseyside Police by ringing 101 (999 in an emergency)
